Ituri : «nous ne connaissons pas Zaïre, nous sommes MAPI», réponse de son porte-parole à l’AT de Djugu. Que comprendre ?

Pendant la cérémonie de la remise de l’acte d’engagement du Mouvement d’Autodéfense Populaire de l’Ituri, en sigle MAPI, l’administrateur intérimaire du territoire de Djugu a, lors de son mot de circonstance, révélé que « MAPI » est un nouveau nom de l’ancien groupe armé dit d’autodéfense « Zaïre ».

Le quel groupe armé créé, pendant le règne de l’ancien gouverneur de province Jean Bamanisa Saidi. Un groupe armé que plusieurs acteurs socio-politiques soupçonnent d’être créé par des communautés qui se disent victimes des atrocités commises par la milice CODECO.

«[…] nous demandons au mouvement d’autodéfense populaire de l’Ituri, ancien Zaïre, de respecter cet acte d’engagement unilatéral […]».

En objection, avant la lecture de leur acte d’engagement, le porte-parole de MAPI, Benjamin Bahati a tout de suite recadré le colonel Ruphin Mapela Nvinya pour lui faire entendre qu’ils ne sont pas éléments du groupe armé d’autodéfense appelé Zaïre.

«[…] Rectification, nous ne sommes pas les éléments du Zaïre et ne connaissons pas ces gens. Nous sommes MAPI […]»

Lors de l’interview accordée à la presse, le gouverneur militaire a à son tour indiqué que l’essentiel pour lui c’est l’acte d’engagement unilatéral signé par ces jeunes.

«Je n’aimerais pas entrer dans la guerre de mot» a-t-il indiqué.

Que comprendre ?

Si MAPI est un mouvement d’autodéfense qui a vu officiellement jour, il y a près d’un mois passé, pourquoi le gouvernement provincial militaire prendrait le risque de faire signer à ces « jeunes courageux » un acte d’engagement alors que l’armée n’a jamais attribué une seule attaque contre la population, incursion ni tuerie à ce mouvement armé dit d’autodéfense dans la province de l’Ituri ?

Si MAPI est une faction du groupe armé « Zaïre », comme l’a affirmé la radio onusienne en RDC à travers son site, combien des fractions resteraient-elles dans ce cas pour la signature des actes d’engagement ?

Visiblement, l’objectif recherché par l’administration militaire c’est d’éviter « la provocation », qui constitue l’unique raison qu’avancent les groupes armés CODECO, FPIC lorsqu’il faut justifier l’incursion ou tuerie de personnes dans différents villages de Djugu et Irumu pendant la période du processus de la paix. Et si à la longue, MAPI est considéré par le Gouvernement, comme le représentant de tous les groupes armés d’autodéfense, que comptera faire la province de l’Ituri ?

MAPI est un mouvement d’autodéfense créé depuis 2020, organisé et sorti officiellement fin 2022. Peu importe son origine, MAPI n’est pas Zaïre, car le Zaïre Mazembe également existe ; le mal est encore profond, nous a fait savoir un ex-milicien de l’UPC, un ancien groupe armé de l’Ituri. Wait and see disent les anglais !
